Thank you for joining us on this journey. This is the last weekend of 2023 guys. I love the new year to the point that when I was a child, I remember like waiting for New Year's Eve and just being like, yes, it's a new year.

I'm also a person that loves like a new glorious shiny plan. Even if that glorious shiny plan does not come to fruition, it's so many New Year's resolutions as a child. And my personality is such that I'd be like, it's January 1st, I'm going to change like 17 things about my life.

And then of course get two weeks into January and be very overwhelmed or get sick or something, right? My birthday is actually in February and I have been sick the month of my birthday so many times in my 37 years of life.

And so I would like get sick and then be like, oh, I stopped working out because I got sick, you know. And so I have a better and healthier view of New Year's resolutions at this point. But I do want to kind of dive into what are some of my big goals for the business in 2024.

And I want to I want to kind of share this with you because I know sometimes it can feel like someone who you're listening to who's like doing what you want to be doing and in a place that you are not at yet is kind of where they want to be and not striving forward, right?

And so I want to normalize that. the fact that we're all moving forward, there's always something that we're working on. No matter how successful we are, no matter how many kind of, I don't know, things that we've checked off our goal list or to do list, we are always continuing to grow and develop as people, as doulas, as business owners.

And that is not any different for those of us that are making a lot more money in this work and things like that. So one of the things that is on my list for goals this year is having three thriving groups of doula coaching.

Now, what I have landed on is that I only want to run my doula coaching program that is a coach. I mean, that's a group program. So like the group that is eight weeks long, etc. I want to run that three times a year.

And so this year, the first cohort is happening in January. And then we'll have another one before the summertime. and then we'll have one in the fall. And so there's really just three opportunities for people to be in it every year.

And I think what that does for me is provide some structure and kind of routine in the business that's really helpful. And then for people who I'm coaching, it gives them some predictability of like, okay, I can't join this one in January, but I am going to join the one later in the springtime because I don't want to wait until the end of the year to do this coaching, right?

And so that's one of my goals. Three thriving groups of doulas that I'm coaching together as a group. And I would love for you to be one of those doulas if that sounds like something that is a good fit for you right now in your business.

But I'm super pumped to see who that group, who those three groups will be in 2024. My second big goal for 2024 is hitting $200 ,000 in revenue. Now, again, when we think about goals and strategy and, you know, plans, etc.

We want to have an actual game plan for getting there. So one thing that I do with my business coach and that I would encourage you to do is I take that big number revenue goal and then work backwards from it.

How can I get to that number, right? How much of each thing do I need to do to get to where I want to be in terms of finances? Because it needs to be intentional. Like I need to build my business with intentionality and I need to sell my packages with intentionality.

I need to take on clients with intentionality. I need to bring doulas in with intentionality. So it's something that I am very passionate about doing, but also don't want to do in just whatever way I have to.

My third goal that I'm looking for in 2024 that I'm working towards is getting my childbirth education class to sell on autopilot. Now, this is something that if you had to go to school to get a job, if you had to go to school to get a job, you would have to come to a school to do it.

I told me two years ago, it's gonna take you two more years to figure this out. I would have been really discouraged because at that point I was like, oh my gosh, the idea of like an evergreen course, like a course that just lives there and people can buy it who don't even know you was a foreign concept to me.

And then when I learned about it, I was like, wow, think of the potential, right? And so I've had this class since the early days of the pandemic and I recently have started partnering with Pinterest to be able to run ads to the class and I have guidance from them, which is wonderful and the ads are doing really well, which is amazing and it is selling.

So my goal for it in 2024 is to tweak that process so that that is a consistent and reliable stream of income that's coming in without me having to do much daily work around it. And that... will be a game changer.

And that's part of why goal number two will happen, right? Because I'm gonna get some of the things that demand less of my body and my brain working at a higher level in my business so that I can give myself more to the things that require my attention.

And I can help the things that I'm already doing really amazingly, like my class, right? Like I think my class is really awesome. I'm obviously incredibly biased towards it, but I can help that get in the hands of more pregnant people and then prepare them for birth in a more holistic way.

So those are my three big goals. Now I wanna tell you something. One thing that was a major game changer for me this year was doing some mindset work. For me, that was work around success, work around what it meant to be wealthy, work around money, like the good, bad, and ugly of receiving money and giving money out and all of that.

And I want to bring some of that to you in 2024. My fourth goal that is maybe not an official goal, but a goal nonetheless, is helping you grow in your business. And one of the ways that I think about that is of course this podcast, right?

Like I wanna give you these bite -size episodes to listen to, to really implement, to start like diving into things for you, for your business. The other thing is the classes and workshops that I offer.

Last year, because doula coaching was new to me, I was kind of digging into like what sorts of classes would be helpful? What do we want? What do people want to see? What do people really find super beneficial for them?

So I'm still kind of in that experimentation process. Because of that, in 2024, I'm going to start the year off with a brand new doula masterclass. Now, you probably heard about doula. heard the ad for this at the beginning of the recording today at the beginning of the podcast.

So you know a little bit about it, but I want to just give you a personal invitation. This class is happening on January 10th. It is about money mindset for doulas. And I cannot tell you how many of our issues around burnout around non sustainability around business issues stem from not charging enough money.

So the workshop is called do the money mindset, feeling great about charging more money. And to be honest with you, it doesn't have to be that you charge like the most expensive amount in your area, for instance.

But you need to be charging a rate that is sustainable for you. And you need to feel good about what that rate is, you need to feel good about doing your work for that amount of money. You need to feel good about how you show up for your clients for that amount of money.

And that is what we're talking about in this workshop. So I really encourage you to sign up.
