Today we are discussing how to make those things more productive to get them done, and ways to lead conversations to get a result faster. 

Having your own business can be a little scary and it’s hard to know the next steps. There are so many unknowns that can happen. Today we are talk about three common things business owners struggle with like business management and handling tough situations.

Let’s talk about growing that passive income. How nice would it be to have something steady coming in that is easy to do? Like you have the knowledge and background to do these things like having an online class or creating a parent guide.

So should we be a one stop shop? Life happens sometimes and if you are that “one stop shop” where you have multiple incomes from your business coming in, that can be helpful. Let’s talk about some way you can be making that extra dough and also set yourself up to have that “easy life” later one.

Controversial opinion here: Certificates are great and all, but they can also hinder your business. I said what I said. Certifications are fantastic but it’s being strategic with what certificates you get that is going to help grow your business. Having that extra certificate is not going to automatically get you more clients.

Google is a great resource we have, right? But, what if there were other ways to make sure we got evidence-based and helpful information for your doula business? Let’s discuss some other ways to get the information you need rather than helplessly searching through every possible link in Google.

Sometimes it’s hard to think about being picky when it comes to your clients, especially if you are a new business owner. However, isn’t that one of the perks of being a doula is getting to pick who you work for? Today we are discussing red flags in clients and not ignoring them just because you need clients. Trust me, it’ll catch up to you eventually.

So you’re new to doula-ing and still trying to get those first couple of clients. Let’s dive into somethings not to say in a consultation. How to say “I’m new to doula-ing with not a lot of experience” but without giving all that away.

Are you new to doula-ing and don’t know what to write down on your resume or on your website to showcase your skills? We will discuss some categories from non-doula work that can be reflected in doula work. Kind of like, how can you take what you already know and are good at and add it into your doula business?

We love the give it your all energy and also the maybe kind of awkward energy. That’s not what we are talking about. More of like the please hire me, I really need you as a client like now energy. Today, we are discussing finding worth in finding clients that fit your energy and finding confidence in your abilities as an amazing doula.

This week’s hot question is why do we feel like we need to put things on sale or discount our packages? Your prices are set that way because it shows your worth, so why do we as small business owners feel like we need to lower our prices? Let’s instead discuss how we can have payment options or build our confidence to say these are our prices. 

Why do we do this to ourselves as doulas? We set our pricing so low. So let’s talk about creating packages that make sense for what you need income wise. It can be intimidating to raise your prices, so let’s put a number reason behind why you need to.

Being a doula, our client base looks a little bit different. So what does that look like for planning for that financial stability in your business? Today, we are diving into how to create financial stability through client relationships and word of mouth.

How can I make more money starting today?! Let’s talk about using our assets and skills we already have to make that extra income. By having these other ways to make money, it will help with less burnout as well.
