embolden:  verb em· bold· en: to instill with boldness or courage

As a Doula, I believe in emboldening women and their partners to plan and execute the birth that they envision. Part of pregnancy, labor, birth, and parenthood is learning to listen to your own instincts in an environment of empowerment and support. As a Doula, I strive to bring that support to every situation: pregnancy, labor, birth, and the postpartum period. I thrive when I'm encouraging others, and that is exactly what I will do before, during, and after labor and birth.

Birth support looks like whatever you want it to look like. It looks like you making choices and me helping you with those choices. It doesn't look like me making your birth what I want birth to be, but emboldening you to make your birth what you want it to be! I will walk with you every step of that journey as you write your birth story in real time.

As your Postpartum doula, I agree to provide non-medical physical, emotional and informational support after the birth of your baby.  I will help with self-care, recovery, postpartum comfort measures, infant care, parenting information, and provide assistance with learning to feed and take care of your baby. I ease the burden of coming back into your life after baby and having physical and also emotional demands that "normal" life brings! On top of the emotional and recovery support, I also provide practical support such as preparing snacks, getting frequent drinks, doing dishes, laundry, making beds, or running short errands (post office or small grocery trips for instance).
