You can message me. It is easy to do. It will be worth it. Please go do that now. Now that I'm done being bossy, I want to give you a sense of what we're going to talk about. So mindset stuff, I think, can sound a little woo woo, right?

Like we're going to like manifest our Doula business money dreams. That, and I don't mean to make that sound ridiculous that it I'm making it sound ridiculous in the same way that I talk about birth affirmations.

So I'm going to do a little like side jot into that real quick so that you get a sense of how this works for me. So I am a person that is incredibly logical and very black and white. And what I think what I'm looking at, I know that I don't see nuance.

I mean, you hear on my podcast all the time, right? But I'm just like, either this is true, or it's not true. And, and I I try to balance that I really do. But it is. is that is part of my personality, it's part of who I am.

So when I talk to my childbirth ed students, I always joke with them that if you're looking at Google, you're Googling birth affirmations, you're gonna find everything from your body is strong right now to ranging from that to like your cervix is an opening lotus, right?

I always try really hard not to say your cervix is a blooming flower like it's a bunch of bullshit because I hate those kind of affirmations in part because if my cervix is a blooming freaking flower, it doesn't bloom very well.

So the first thing that that takes me to is this like, but is it like, is it though, is my cervix blooming? And so I know that is, that is a. the thing that resonates with some doula clients, those are clearly not my main clients, right?

Most of my clients gravitate towards like you and the baby are currently safe, right? Like you have the strength to do this. Women before you have done this, people before you have done this, like those kind of like factual statements.

I had a client once that said to me, if you say to me, everything is going to be fine. She was like, all I'm going to do is think about all the things that could possibly go wrong. And that is going to derail me.

And I'm like, hey, I am right there with you, friend. Like that is exactly where my brain goes to. So not that I won't say that if a client wants a cervical lotus image in their head, by all means, I am blooming those cervixes just like they are, right?

Like right alongside them. And I can do that with a lot of enthusiasm. And at the same time, if I'm the person in labor, you better not talk about my freakin cervix blooming like a flower because it's not doing anything for me.

Okay. So when we think about mindset stuff, I am not overly woo woo. Like we are not spending time on January 10th manifesting our business dreams in like a metaphysical kind of way, right? What we are going to do is talk about how we think about money and why we don't like charging it.

Like what is our hang up with having people pay us? That we're going to talk about. We're going to talk about where did that come from for you if you have that? And is it from maybe your childhood? Is it from maybe your idea of wealth?

Is it from how you feel about paying for things, right? Is it from you thinking that you should always be the most affordable option? Where is it from? We're going to talk about that. And then Then we're going to talk about how your prices have to work in order for your business to stay in business.

And what I mean when I say that is not that I'm going to tell you, okay, random doula, you have to charge X amount of money. What I'm going to say to you is if you charge this amount of money, you are not paying yourself anything.

And I just want you to sit with that. Like if you're charging so low that you're not even sustaining your business, why are you in business? And that's a hard thing, right? Like I started out charging nothing.

My first three births, I charged less than $300. That does not pay for anything for me. It doesn't pay for anything in my business. because it doesn't pay for my family to do anything. Like how can I sustain myself with that, right?

And so I say this and I will teach this with all the love and compassion because I have done this work and I've gotten to where I am with a six figure business from doing this work, from paying people to help me do this work, from having a coach and a mindset person to help me do this work, right?

But not from sitting around and manifesting my business goals. Now, I mean, I'll take a good manifestation session here and there, right? Like I can do a little of that, but it's not, that's not what we're doing on January 10th.

January 10th, we are diving into how for this to be a sustainable business that you have and the questions you need to answer for yourself in order to get there. That's what we're diving into.
